Default boost gauge question

Im looking at the greddy boost and egt gauges. What is the benefit of using an electric vs mechanical boost gauge? Also do they hook up differently? Thanks.

Be careful of most of the metric calibration boost gauges in electronic configuration, because they are not set for low boost applications such as are typically needed on the G/Z cars. A 7lb boost will use about ten degrees of the circle!!!!! you will go from no boost to full boost and only barely see the needle move (if you are bothering to look). Many of the mechanicals however are in psi and some are set for lower boost range. Just keep it in mind or you will get a slick meter that works...just does not work usefully.
