Anybody running Stillen SC - no intercooler?
(Edit: meant to post under forced induction forum, sorry)
Hey:
I live at 3600 ft elevation. I lose about 1.6 psi absolute pressure because of altitude. If I add a Stillen SC at 5.5 psi it is the equivilent of running the same setup at sea level at 4.0 psi boost.
The install is much easier. I have to move fewer factory components on the car. If I hate it I can easily remove it. It meets my wants for power. I am ok with the hood thing. I am OK with adding octane-in-a-can.
Is anybody running a Stillen without an intercooler?
Thanks
Mike

I concidered this, but I don't think it is a good idea in Texas heat to not intercool......huge risk, probably deffinate, that you will suffer from detonation issues.
For a little more money you can go vortech w/ intercool, but not as easily installed/removed.
