you dont have to ever do it.

I donno if its proven or not, but some think the ecu learns from the data it recieves, we KNOW it learns from the way you drive(if you baby it, it will baby itself) specificly automatics for example, it will shift at a lower RPM if you never floor it, itll just be harder and harder to get it to rev. if you floor it constantly when you dont, it is likely to still shift high.

I dont think anyone knows exactly how long the memory is or how easy it is to change its patterns. but reseting the ECU basicly lets you start at ground zero; clean slate, the car learns its first set of data from that moment on.

cliffnotes: might not help, but definitly doesnt hurt, easy to do. why not then.

Id go with the pedal method, I havent done it though. just rather have instant gratification than pulling the battery. also pulling the battery loses all your presets, where the pedal method is a bit more direct.

So after reseting the ECU.
The ECU have to learn everything on my car from state 0? Like putting a UR pulley have to let the ECU to adapt to it.
