Question for those who have done maximum NA mods.....
by this I mean intake, cams, headers, flywheel, etc. How do you like the end result? why did you choose this path? Do you wish in retrospect that you had gone with an FI set-up. If you had just bought a Z now, like I have, would you still go NA with your mods, or are the upcoming FI products (JWT TT, APS TT, HKS SC) looking more appealing?

itz all depends on what u want for ur car.
the mod list u listed is the plane i am gonna do to my car.
i went through N/A because i wan a a lightweight N/A tuned car, which means i dont need to to have 400hp +, anything between 300~400 is good for me.( i only do circuite, no drag race).
FI should be the way to go if u want power. N/A tuning isn't gonna give u lotz of hp considered the amount of money u have spent.

I think I am maxed out minus cams and pulley. I will not do the pulley so really that leaves me cams.
I will eventually do cams, just waiting for the right set.
I went N/A because the FI path is not solid enough for me. That being said I can always do FI later when there are some better solutions. I can do S/C and keep all my current mods and cams . . .or I can do TT and just lose the headers.
And besides there is something to be said about a quick N/A car.

pretty much sums up how i feel i have all except cams and plenum and cannot justify them over fi. i am waiting to see all my options and for the prices to come down on kits and install as more begin to compete.
after spendind close to 5k in mods i must say i thought it would be faster. but its never enough in this game

Just as an example:
CAI ~$200
Headers ~$1000
Ehaust ~$1000
High Flow Cat ~$400
Crank Pulley ~$200
That is $2800 that I think would give a good boost in power. Headers are the only expensive part to install.
Its much cheaper than FI. Even if you add flywheel and plenum.

Not to mention Cats and Exhaust are must have items for TT. So you get lucky and find the greddy TT for 4500 with intercooler then you need to get 1500 more in exhaust parts.

Love my NA setup. All I need is a good cam as well. I am waiting to see how that plays out. There are alot of good cams out there for example Nismo Spec 1 and Spec 2 Nismo and Tomei that may help further unleash the beast that our cars are capable of. Just waiting for someone to try it out. Later I can always add a supercharger.

ground kit (80)
intake was (240) when i got it when it came out
not just crank all the pulley (350)
and my wing and body kit (1200) paint incl
then there is install costs
headers (150)
fly/clutch (80)
ur pulleys (50)
exh (40)
most was me and friend doing it hence the low cost
and dyno time (100)
and tuning for the safc by my friend (40)

Right now I have exhaust, intake and test pipes and I can feel a small difference. The headers and cams should be on the car within a few weeks then I'll need an ecu reflash. Last time I went to the dyno the car was running really lean. Maybe a plenum later on. Plus my juice should be on the car by the end of this week. I'm sure the next time I go to the dragstrip I'll be hitting low 13s without a problem, just need some new rubber. Anyone with an NA setup including cams run their car in the 1/4?

well, here's what we've installed:
grounding kit - ~$75
intake - ~$125
exhaust - ~$650
pulley/belts - ~$250
plenum - ~$400
here's what i got sittin at home:
cats - ~$400
headers - ~$300
roughly $2200 in parts so far. i'd say i'm pretty happy with what i have, considerin what i've spent. flywheel/clutch is probly next, then an nx 75 shot w/ warmer. i'd say my girl will b a hot little number, don't u think ?
