Just have your local man pull it.
And snooze for a week - until the new body come's back.
From what I have heard local to Stillen.. It's worth it.
Cheers Amy -
If your shop doesn't charge you a day for the car sitting..

the big island is a beautiful place to visit, especially with the lava flowing into the ocean. have you lived there before?

Will this mod improve speed of downshifts?
going into tight corners I notice that with the stock set up I downshift then have to count to three before shifting again or the tranny doesn't recognise the request.

With the advent of the OBD II ECU many functions of the transmission are controlled or restricted by the ECU.Line pressure is limited, rev limit is in the ECU,etc. While there are some gains ,it is not like before!!I have both a valve body mod and hi stall torgue converter and manual shift mod in my FX.There is a black box in the transmission which delays up and down shifts. This can be modyfied. This is not the valve body!

High stall torque convertors and re-worked valve bodies are usually not a very good mix unless they have been designed to work together.

From about 1980 we have been tourists on Big Island..
My Grand Daughter was swinging on a rope over the ocean at Moliki when she was five..
Now 22 she was at home on Big Island last fall..
Your view over looks the Rainbow Hilton ? or are you further East?

Exactly what STILLEN told me when I brought up adding the VB and an Edge TC....told me it had been done by a customer and he was having problems because the VB was designed for STOCK torque converter.

to stay on topic. i guess i will wait and see how this valve body works out for others before i get it. i would hate to be disappointed. thanks for the help, amy.

If this is true, then Stillen should come out with a torque converter also that will work with the valve body. I don't see how it will not work together, and if you don't upgrade the torque converter, you will end up taking out your stock one or start slipping. So the valve body then would be a waste of money. I don't think they would make a product that would not interact with other upgrades.

Well, I was going to do have Andre over at Edge do my TC right away and get the VB from Stillen installed next week at Stillen's shop. When I told my guy at Stillen what I was doing, he advised against the TC upgrade. I waiting on a call from the Shop Manager......I will report back what he tells me...because I wanted to do both....

I've heard the opposite, that a quicker shift causes less clutch plate friction. Less friction less heat. I'm going to need a second opinion on this, Turbo Maxima.
