How much is the FD already installed in the NISMO LSD going to be? This is a mod more for the track than it is for the drag strip I believe. But how much does it shorten the 1/4 mile?

Default Sorry , but . . .

Due to personal reasons, I will not be able to install my 3.9 and post a review for about a month. By then, others will have posted review here, and I look forward to reading them. I have the parts, and they appear to be well-made.

I wonder what the FD, NISMO LSD, and a lightweight flywheel and new clutch would be like?!

Or for the 5A/T crowd... how about raising the stall speed on the torque converter, then get the NISMO LSD, and the 3.9????????? hmm.....

Think you could knock a full second off the 1320 with this alone??????????

I pick my car up tomorrow after work!!! Of course, there is like 3 days of rain in the forecast. Saturday I'll be at the drag strip if any of the Chicago crew wants to come along.

I've got ECU, Y-pipe, pulley, k&n, wider rims & tires, Kinetix traction arms, tein coilovers, hotchkis sways. I'll start a new thread tomorrow with pics. I'll have before and after datalogged 0-60 (barring rain) and 1/4 mile by Saturday. My next "real" track day isn't for a couple more weeks.

Just curious, but why did you get an ECU with only a y-pipe, pulley, and K&N intake? Are you planning on going with exhaust, headers, etc., later on?

The ring and pinion do not need to be broken in. As part of the manufacturing they are lapped together (matched and numbered sets) and heat treated.

Technos L-spec reflash to 7200rpm redline will restore your max speeds in each gear with evo 3.9. You'll even be able to reach 60 in 2nd (if you're willing to rev to 7200).

VQ35 mean piston speed at:

6600rpm ~3525fpm
7200rpm ~3845fpm

Forged rods are recommended at 3800+fpm.
