Just another update from 350EVO
We now have pricing for the exchange program for a complete and assembled rear end housing with the 3.9 final drive and Nismo LSD. This core charge exchange program allows for minimal down time and an easier swap of out of your rear end housing.
This is a core exchange program where we will install the 3.9 final drive and Nismo diff in a rear end housing with new bearings, seals pinion nut ready to be bolted straight onto your car.
Then you ship us your old rear end. us.http://www.350evo.com/catalog/produc...e1d43d5928e4e1

Is it $2334 plus the 500 core, or is the 500 included in the 2334?

Oh, if i just had the money.. or a sponsor! *wink wink* I'm sure someone wants to break into the Inland Northwest Market. Hell, would someone please! We are lacking in tuning and performance minded shops.

You pay $2834.95 up front, but you get $500 back once you turn in your core.

If you don't return the core, you get charged $750 more for a total of $1250 in core charges or $3584.95 without giving a core.

BJ - what do you recommend we use to bring the speedo and odometer back to spec after this goes in?

Nothing is needed .....the speedo isnt affected by the 3.9 because the wheel speeds are taken from the 4 wheel speed sensors and the rears WSS are read off of the axle flanges.

The speedometer/odometer are not changed with the changing of the final drive ratio.

You may need a pinion height shim from Nissan. The part numbers are in the directions provided. The reason we dont supply the shims is we dont know what you will need and there are 15- 20 differnt sizes and you need only one. It may be the one you allready have in the housing. We have these shims in stock...but so should your local Nissan dealership.
The tolerances in the housings, pinions gears and bearings is what determines what shim may be needed.
Any questions let me know.

Install time varies but I would say in the 6-8 hours install range........Also we are doing core swaps with the Nismo LSD and 3.9 final drive through our website. This will allow customers to do their own removal and installation of just the rear end housing and ship in their current housing back to us. Less down time=more enjoyment!!!

np - I am sure our installer has shims that can be used easily...all he does is high performance tranny/diff work all day long.

I was thinking more along the lines of the seals for axles, driveshaft, etc since this all has to come apart

I believe the Nismo LSD comes with new output flange bearings. The pinion bearings will be available through our web site along with the seals and crush sleves very soon.

do I need new pinion bearings? My car already has the Cusco LSD installed, so just want to make sure if I need anything else I drop it off to the tranny shop all at the same time

The gear is not out yet for auto. You can put the 3.5 from the manual in though. I just happen to have one for sale. Check the classifieds.

What does the AT have in it stock? Would the 3.5 from the manual make a big difference?

auto fd=3.3
manual fd= 3.5
350evo=3.9
There will be some available from customers switching (zillinois has one) and also we can build a rear end with the Nismo diff and a 3.5 final drive. We are always open to suggestions.
BJ@350EVO.com
We do have a coupe customers with dedicated track only zuto 350Z's that are getting the 3.9. I am sure they will review it once its installed.

I def recomend getting the Nismo LSD with the 3.9.
The only other thing you may need would be a different thickness pinion height shim.
Some have put in new pinion bearings, crush sleeve and pinion nut. These are maintence items. There are not absolutely needed but while the rear end is apart its good to know new parts are in there. We will have these items available on our web site.
