Default Does a MSD ignition box with coil really benefit car

Does anyone have a MSD ignition box with coil and how does it benefit your
car?

I don't think we can because each spark plug has its own coil (correct me if im wrong)

Correct, MSD won't work for our cars. No point anyway, unless you are turbo and want the rev limiter to be an electric cut and not a fuel cut.

My understanding is that the igntion is great stock on these cars - plenty of voltage - your money's better spent elsewhere...

Yeah we use coil packs for each spark plug.

there should be aftermarket ignition stuff available for this application....don't know how much it would improve the power though....haven't seen anything for our cars yet but i am sure its in the works

I thought I saw some manufacturer that offered aftermarket, high performance coil packs, but I can't remember who or where I saw it. It might have been Power Enterprise or something.

I have the MSD 6A ignition and Blaster coil on my old 240Z. It really helps when starting the car- you really don't even need to pull the chokes on the carbs, especially in summer. Starts almost immediately. Runs great and does not "eat" points like it did without the MSD. Highly recommended for older Z cars from my experience.
