Default Flywheel

I am looking at getting a new flywheel. Looking at NISMO and JWT. What is the best for the weight and are there others that someone would recommend?

And dont forget JUN, they have a nice flywheel aswell.

But from what i have been reading, the tilton flywheel and clutch is the best to go with. But it is also the most expensive.

Isn't the tilton flywheel and clutch the lightest. I've heard the stock clutch and th Nismo clutch weigh about the same, but I could be wrong. When I take the plunge I will probably go JWT flywheel with stock clutch. I don't plan on having enough horsepower to warrant a new clutch, but I would love to have the flywhhel.

Isn't the tilton flywheel only 8lbs? Seems way too light for me :P I'd be scared. I would recommend the JUN weighing in at about 14lbs. I think stock it's 31lbs... and I know the Nismo one is 28lbs.

UR is lightest when you dont count the flex plate they include from an AT...

the lightest i believe is the 13lb stillen... that can be used with a stock clutch...

but really any flywheel you bolt up to a stock size clutch isnt much of a difference... because the stock clutch / nismo clutch / jwt clutch still weights a ton... the nismo clutch is the lightest though of the stock size..

i posted the sizes some where...

nismo clutch / jwt clutch will handle well more than the VQ and Trans can handle... about 600RWHP...

but... if your going ot be pusshing that much horse power, your not going to care about a streetable clutch and would be talking to me about a tripple carbon carbon clutch or 3 disc cindered steel clutch

The Tilton isnt a childs mod for the Z......LOL...... it changes the car and driveability signifigantly........Driving is almost a chore from a stand-still... but after 1st watch out cause its a blast to drive.....plus isnt a (5.1) 0-60 time....(maybe better) on a N/A car with mild mods just great.... as soon as it get the 3.9 final drive (4.8) 0-60 will be even better...

Also be prepared to buy a lot of rear tires...... and good wide tires too...

I'm with you on this. The tilton is the best clutch/flywheel once you get rolling. Hit the gas and the back end sinks, the front end lifts and you get sucked into the seats. It makes the Z feel like a turbo. But starting out is a challenge to say the least.
