I should get my car back in a couple of hours. The clutch went on fine, with no problems. My tuner is driving it up here, to see if anything goes wrong. I think he just wants to play, really.

He says "Its f*cking mental, mate. It revs like a motorbike."
I'm presuming that's a compliment.

The car revs and drives like a very insane thing. Its a bit of a bastard to set off. The top 2-3" of clutch doesn't do anything, at all...its all down near the bottom. I think I'm g'na have to be setting off at a snails pace for a few days.
It does slip, a little. You can set off smoothly but it grinds a tiny bit.

Must be smoother on the accelerator, whilst being incredibly slow releasing the clutch.

I'm sure it'll get easier (and quieter) as it beds in, though.

I will be doing a demo of me driving the Tilton Street Set-UP shortly.

Just got a 256MB Memory card for my Sony T1 so I have enough space now

4 hours in stop start traffic is hardly bedding my clutch in but it is getting easier. I'm not so happy with having to have my heel off the floor, when I hit bite point, though. I'll have to get that adjusted, later.

Hill starts, I'm avoiding for a few more days. I just hope the hammering my clutch has received, today, hasn't damaged it, any. =/

Hey Pyroteknix...

You arent suposed to press the clutch all the way to the floor... you only ned to press it in about half way...

Wish you'd told me that before I got RSI in my knee, Jason.

I'll see if I can manage it on the way out of this infernal town.

Dropping it to the floor won't have damaged it in any way, will it?

all that info was in the instructions of the clutch...

it wont damage it... but wont last as long... you have nothing to worry about at this point...

I didn't get to SEE the instructions. GRR!
They're in the box, at my tuners' place, I hope. I'll make sure to read through them, soon as.

This clutch is awesome, btw. Everybody should buy one and learn to drive, properly.

I think my best example is...there's a road I use daily that at a certain point, I could always hit 100mph, before I had to back off for a bend. Today I reached 100mph about 250-300 metres before that point. Its also slightly up-hill.

Uphill acceleration is now no slower than acceleration on the flat. Words cannot describe how much more awesome the car now is.

I thought I would ask. Jeff had said he expected them by now. What would be the next best clutch/flywheel combo after the tilton?

I'll chime my .02 cents here. If you ever intend to track the car and LSD is a very good additon. That being said, you should also consider the Cusco RS LSD. Nothing wrong with the Nismo unit, it si just that the RS design will remain more consitant over time as it wears , since it uses a coil spring mechanism. It also hooks up in a more linear fashion . Both the RS and Nismo cunit cost within a few $100 of one another.

IMO

I like my Nimso LSD. I have it set at 60% right now and it's working out fine. I may have to even bump it to 80%. It is not a TO DO thing to have but it is nice to have. Makes a little thumping noise when turning a corner but nothing to major. One thing to know is that it does make the tilton a little tuffer if you are starting out and turning sharply. With the tilton already tuff to drive and the added grab and jerk of the LSD it just makes it that much funner.
