Default AutoTap??

Has anyone looked into purchasing AutoTap? my friend has it on his 97' Z28, and he can monitor air intake temp, A/F, rpms, speed and alot more....it plugs into the OBD-II port and reads the diagnostics...he uses a laptop to read it...i was wondering if any 350Z's have looked into purchasing this??

The OBDII port in the 350Z uses the ISO protocol. That updates much slower than the protocol used by GM. So data logging by this method isn't very satisfactory for the 350Z.

I have Autotap, and it works fine. But shopdog is right about it being slower. It is much faster at logging on my camaro.

I use Digimoto, and it does the job.

Domestic cars have a lot more data available to these types of products. Don't expect ANY OBDII software running on a Nissan to give you anywhere near the data capablilites that you see on your friends GM car.

Knowing that be sure you will be satisfied with the capabilities of the software you are buying before you spend your $$s.
