Default need some mod help

ok as of right now i only have a jwt popcharger...topspeed pro1 y pipe back exhaust...and a grounding kit....last time i was at the track i only ran a 14.1 but was launchin horrible and didnt hook up at all in 2nd gear...so i know tires will get me into the high 13s for sure but is there anyway i can get into mid 13s with basic bolt ons? as of right now im leaning more towards the turbonetics single turbo setup but its nothing i will be able to do asap...so i dont really wanna do headers and what not because if i do turbo they will have to come off...should i just do test pipes and a y pipe and finish off exhaust? cause i can use exhaust with turbo...any suggestions would be nice

hmm, with your current mods, I'd suggest a y-pipe?

good idea

also I've heard awesome things about advan tires in the wheel+suspension section

the post about what the wheel and tire fairy brought me

Yeah, finish the exhaust with test pipes or HF cats...Tires, and maybe a Plenum?

By any chance do you have a base model? If you do, get a LSD to solve those traction problems

i have a enthus....so it comes with the lsd...yah thanks for the .02 cents....i think ill just end up getting the y pipe and cats or test pipes....that way i can use all of that with turbo or whatever direction i go...when it comes to a plenum i really wanna do one cause i heard you can def feel a difference with them but i have the jic cf strut bar and i would like to keep that...and all the plenums out you have to remove it...if someone comes out with a plenum where i can still keep my jic bar ill buy it

yah im just wondering of other bolt ons that will get me faster...i know with camaros if you stick a cam into them its like 60WHP...thats crazy...and the cam is only like 600-800 bucks....i wish we had sumthin we could do to our cars that was kinda like a "trick" for easy horse power...kinda like how when you put a pulley on a gtp thats about the best mod you can do...

cool

well, my take on that is a clutch and flywheel OR gears are probably the best single mod you can do (power/acceleration wise) to your car

you won't get an instant 60 hp, but it's something you can definitely feel and doesn't take a dyno to prove it works ... especially in the case of a lightened flywheel... bottom line: lighter car = faster

plus you don't have to worry about A/F tuning

How much different is your bar, compared to the stock bar in terms of clearance with the stock Plenum? I spoke to Kinetix, because I too, was having the same concern. He said the New version of the V4 yields more clearance and shouldnt hit the bar.

There have been some guys who have had to adjust their bar alittle, either way its an easy fix....Give him a call and see, I think this is a Must, and I doubt anyone else is going to make a plenum made from this type of "COOL" material.

if you plan to go FI, i would stay away from the kinetix plenum and go for the crawford instead. i know that there are people out there with the kinetix and FI, but the amount of flex on the plenum, its just looked unstable to me and i'm n/a.

or you could always wait for the aluminum one that kinetix is in the process of making that could be better for a FI application.
