why would they do the vlsd first? I would think they would get more interest from the open differential guys since they have NOTHING!! compared to guys that have the vlsd. IMO doesn't make sense.

Most of those who purchased models with open diffs are not focused upon performance upgrades. Not all , but most.

Just out of curiosity, are there any disadvantages to this kind of differential? I remember reading something about early Hummers with gear diffs having problems when they get into "no-traction" situations. As in if there was no traction to either side, no power would be sent along. I don't remember if this applies here, though.

... just as an update. The poll is still going and the tallies are as follows:
1. MT tranny - vLSD - 14 votes

Just curious... how does one end up with option #4? Both the Enthusiast and Touring Z's with the 5AT have a limited slip. Are the G35's with 5AT an open diff or something?
