Default poor college kid ready for his ....

so here is the story... i'm a poor college kid and i paid off about 1 and a half years of my car... got 3 and half left -_- .... anywho... since our car is so low... when my buddy was giving me an oil change... i notice my exhaust got bent... i had an exhaust leak... and there are these 2 weird weaved things... and one of them seems to be burning... not to mention that a plastic bag was stuck on my exhaust pipe so it looks ugly....

so I have decided to scrap enough money for an exhaust system for me this christmas... i was looking into the borla true duel exhaust from strictlyz.com.... seems to be a good price and i heard great things from it....

if anyone has any + or - comments... please post.... and if you guys recommend anyother exhausts please tell me....

o btw... i'm loooking to go turbo in the future....

Here's what I think.

First, are you looking for strictly performance from the exhaust or
Looks or sound from the exhaust. You have to answer that before making your decision. So think about it. Try to hear or see dyno numbers before making the purchase. And if your going Turbo later find out what Turbo just in case you want to add headers. Some turbos eliminate the headers.

not really any gains from the borla, according to that exhaust shootout. nismo sounds amazing, and there are a few vendors doing deals on it right now. once you hear the nismo you will know why its so popular.

What college is it that fails to teach you proper sentence structure, use of punctuation and capital letters? Need to make sure my kids never apply there.

Just busting on you a bit ...

daytona, what mods have you done? i dont remember you ever posting pics of your ride but i always have the feeling you have some sweet stuff from your convos with mr. b.

i'm a poor college kid also! i'm thinking of nismo or injen for christmas i wish i could get the amusa, it sounds so sweet...but there's no way i'll be able to scrap that much money together and have the will power to spend it all in one place.

Budget?

Find a used $50 stock exhaust. If you're broke you can't afford anything else.

Im willing to bet this is a privates school your going to and your peers mostly drive Porsches and Mercedes. "Real" poor college kids use the bus, just FYI.

I'm a poor college kid and use the bus. I think the bus is the best. I have a choice of 3 going to school (10 minutes maximum wait), no gas, free bus rides with student ID, no milage on the Z, no tire wear, no brake wear, no parking problems (no door dents!). BUSES KICK A$$!

Get a Nismo exhaust.

fack, you have free bus rides? when i was at school bus rides just on campus started out at $.50... by the time i was a senior it was $1 for a one way ride just on campus...

so i ended up just driving on my own, parking wherever i wanted, and dealing with a glove-box stuffed to critical mass with tickets when i went to pick up my diploma

Poor college student here...I like about 15miles from school, so i have to drive anyways...but i choose to park at my buddy's apt. close to school and walk 20mins to school...just to save the $225 from buying the parking permit. Trust me it's not funny to walk for 20mins in arizona during the summer

Its a dry heat... phhhhffff. Its always hot and humid in College Station. Imagine 50 students crammed into a 30' by 30' room in summer sweating to 80% humidity.

That's all you got, 80%? Try 100% here in Gainesville, lol. Humidity is what kills me, the heat I don't mind.

Hey, did you go to Texas A&M--College Station? Both my parents graduated from there. Class of '76 and '80.
