Wow just read all 13 pages of this today at work and even though EK's pictures don't show up, stuff looks excellent. I would love to try something out with mine since it is forced induction. I really like bill's angled opening idea. The point about air entering sooner at the top of the runner than the bottom doesn't really concern me much with a pressurized manifold. What do you guys think, considering you obviously have done your homework?

Personally, I've been in a complete work related meltdown for the last month or two, absolutely no time for anything. I am still very interested in modifying plenums, As you know, I have got a finished home made MREV + like plenum, and I will eventually install it with before and after dyno pulls. However, it may take a while before I can get it done. How are you other DIY guys doing? What's new?

I haven't install mine MREV2 and Spacer yet.
I went ahead and got a complete set of plenums for spare and to work on as DIY.
After my work and vacation is done, I'll install the MD MREV2 and spacer and get the dyno. I'll then proceed to a new custom design for my spare set. Should be interesting.

I've finished my modded MREV like lower plenum, and ported and polished manifold and plenums. My butt dyno says about the same in low end, many a little lower, but at high rpms it picks up very quickly!

I PMed hydrazine with this question. And here is my response.
Q: Is the only difference between the basic Mrev, and the Mrev2 that the Mrev2 has runners 1 and 2 shaved down? If so could I shave my Standard Mrev myself and make it into an Mrev2?
A:No. There is also runner 5 and a corner near 6.
Can anybody verify this? pics?

Looks like the dyno will take place TODAY )
Tonight me and my buddy with a bone stock 03 350z will be dynoing his car on a dynojet.
Here is what we are going to do.
Bone stock = 2 pulls
JWT intake = 2 pulls
Ported lower intake = 2 pulls
Kinetix V4 = 2 pulls
Kinetix SSV = 2 pulls I want to see how much of a gain this mod gives over the V4.
We have the dyno for 2 hours at $125 a hour, hope you guys appriciate this
We will be resetting the ECU inbetween each mod and the car wont be removed from the dyno. Not sure if heat soak will be a big issue.
I will report back once i get the dynos scanned in.

But the best part is the car is bone stock, not even a nismo oil cap and no stickers, we all know how much those can throw off the numbers.

I guess it is about time someone comes up with the results. This thread started back in April and here it is August I just hope nothing happens to the dyno or my buddies car today LOL
I am really looking forward to this tonight, should be a good time. There is going to be some speed plenum changing NASCAR style going on.
Plus, a added bonus to find out how well this SSV plenum performs over the V4. I know i am curious about this one.
<-------------hmmmm my 666 post, what could it all mean
