Arrow DIY: A/T Cooler install

Ok guys I've been searching around and not a single A/T cooler install DIY so I attempted to do my first DIY on my350z. If I'm unclear in anything please let me know.

Just to clarify my Z is an 05 35th Anniversary A/T.
I decided to use the suggested routing which is Tranny< A/T radiator< Cooler in< Cooler out < Tranny Return

Products required
Automatic transmission cooler
Brackets and hoses (usually provided with the cooler)
Hose clamps
Quart of Nissan Matic J fluid or Matic S fluid

Tools needed:
3/8' ratchet w/ socket set (Particularly 10mm and 12mm deep socket)
Various extensions
Flat head and Phillips screwdrivers
Drill w/ 11/16ths drill bit
6 pack of Heineken (optional)

I got my cooler from B&M

1) Remove front bumper and drop your undertray. Use a 10mm socket w/wrench

2) Now, how you mount your cooler is purely up to you. I'm not boosted so no intercooler in my way. I used the factory holes from our impact cross bar mount.

3). I used an 11/16ths drill bit to drill 2 holes in the brackets in order to fit this on the mount. This is how it should look mounted.

4) This is how it should look from far. (Dont mind the top bracket just experimenting)

5) Next, mount the other side bracket for more support. I used the bolt from the hood latch which is a 12mm.

6) Lastly I used the supplied zip tie to secure the lower left corner of the cooler.

Finshed mounted Cooler

7) In order to snake the lines from the factory radiator to the cooler and then back to the tranny, you'll need to shave some of the cushion on the left side of the undertray.

THIS IS FAR AS I GOT I WILL CONTINUE THIS WEEKEND SO STAY TUNED GUYS AND SOME FEEDBACK WOULD BE GOOD. AIGHT!

I've seen this mounted at the rear... doesn't that make more sense in terms
of hose length and such?

For AT cars, routing to the front uses the least amount of hose. It is tricky to accomplish since you must make sure bend radii are not 'exceeded'.

AT cars use the radiator to cool/heat fluid hence the front side install. I considered rear mount on my G but it alot of line to run and I worried about line pressure loss for such a long run. You also need an aftermarket exhaust (dual muffler style) to make rear mount coolers work.

pretty sure you're thinking of a differential cooler

Is this mostly for 350's on the track or longevity of the transmission? Sorry I lack knowledge when it comes to the transmission department :/
