Hey guys, I've been reading on and off for a few weeks starting to plan my build. Finding an LS2 locally is difficult. I found this one out of a Traliblazer SS.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/cana...k-ontario.html

any ideas on what I would need to make this work? Thanks in advance for tolerating noobish questions. Overwhelmed by amount of data to look up at the moment.

I just read it very quick but you'll need a PCM, wiring harness, and possibly other stuff depending on if you're modding it.

Well yea hahaha i was just meaning to get the motor and trans in there. And fueled racing actually will make a drive shaft and trans mount for the 4l60e if you got the transmission with that motor and wanted to stay automatic.

I suggest the fueled racing kit over the sikky but will have my sikky kit up for sale in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks for the insight on intake..really look forward to seeing your pics and what it looks like exactly.

Their oil pans have a different location for the dip stick so it doesnt shoot up when you get on it.

The clutch line kit has the right size banjo bolt that doesnt strip out when you tighten it.

Cheaper and comes with headers with V band clamps.

Better placement of the motor so you have clearance and room up front for boost.

I liked the sikky kit at first but then have just had numerous little problems and 1 or two big problems with the shifter. Ended up making up my own stuff to fix issues that i had with theirs, clutch line, fule line kit, power steering kit, and modified the other things that i didnt have the machines to make new stuff.
The reason i was gonna get the sikky kit was because i was gonna be able to get a deal through the shop that was assisting/doing the swap. Is the fueled racing kit gonna be worth the extra 1k that'd id be spending? By reading the description of the kit its seems worth while

I dont think i found the answer in this thread.

As far as ecu goes what would be the best option if u wanted to be able to "pass" a smog check

Haltech replacement
Oem ecu
Or both oem ecu and a gm standalone.

Biggest worries would be throwing codes and make sure all the smog equipment is in "ready" position with the LT's

Ill post some pictures of the intake in a min.

Yes the extra money is well worth it in my opinion.

It really doesnt matter what ECU you run but you will need to get a engine harness that has all of the OBD 2 emissions junk in there. Then you will just need to run one ECU there is no need to two.

You can add and delete codes off of the stock GM ECU with HP tuners or EFI pro.

Really you just need to know exactly how your county checks emissions.

Here you go simple and easy and under 100$ and gained 20+ hp just from getting colder air. Temps went from 140+ to 90 degrees from swapping from the one that was just right on top of the radiator like this.

how much would you offer for this motor? one sec I'll post the details I got in PM

I have the LS2 long block, intake manifold, fuel rails, fuels injectors, MAS sensor, the crank pulley. Everything has 5,343KMs on it. (like brand new)

I also have to 2WD 4l70e tranny, flex plate, torque converter which is a great tranny for a project also from the same truck with the same KMs

Let me know what you're interested in & make me an offer.

For me once they sent me the first updated shifter it was all of them. With my old shifter that just had a crappy feel and to much slop everything worked. They took my old shifter apart and ended up rebuilding it with all new updated parts and sent it back to me. No problems since but im getting rid of the kit before i have any other problems.

I have the GTO linkage with LS1 trans

popped out of all gears under any sort of throttle.

i disassembled the sikky shifter. and flipped the shifter pivot ball 180 degrees. then it would stay in 2-4-6.

but would still kick out in 1-3-5-R

it looks like there degree of shift is a few degrees off in comparison to the oem shifter.

called sikky and they requested me to ship the shifter back to them.

i shipped it out this morning.

i will keep posted.

was finishing wiring on the new relay and grounded out a wire and toasted the relay circuit board and possibly the ecm.

It is the same size as every other LS so yes you could do it.
