If you have HP Tuners or something similar it's a simple uncheck of a couple boxes. Literally takes 2 seconds to do after you have downloaded the PCM flash.
On a side note I should have mine back from the tuner/dyno tomorrow. Giggidy. Too bad it's cold as hell.

Thanks guys. So I found a guy who will delete VATS. Has anyone ever figured out how to use a stock tach yet? I have a g35, so I can't put a speedhut tach as cleanly into my cluster as you 350z guys as there aren't individual holes for each gauge in the cluster, I would have to cut a hole in it for it to be able to fit, which I might do if there's no other option.

So I currently have a 3.3FD because I traded my 3.5 with someone who had an auto Z, as its more ideal for my twin turbo setup. I imagine 3.3 would not be ideal for a T56....I calculated and my theoretical topspeed is like 260mph and 60mph and 6th gear is like 1200rpm :/ Thoughts? Might not be too bad.. I guess I will find out.

LS2/LS3 350Z Project
Hello all. I'm a new member but have been following and reading many different discussions on these LS 350Z projects for a while now. I've seen many LS projects and builds but most have been with a LS1 or LS2. I'm looking into making a build of my own, but wanted to know the upsides and downside of using the slightly larger 6.2L LS3 instead. I've seen it on a couple cars with the SIKKY kits, but not nearly as many as the LS1's and LS2's. What's everyone's opinions of a LS3 350Z build? In advance, I realize this build will most-likely run me 20-30k.

Here's your basic info on the M12, as it's known.
http://ultimategto.com/cgi-bin/showc...005/05_00084_2
The main issue you'll run into is a somewhat short 5th gear depending on your final drive ratio/tire combo/redline and 6th is simply a cruising gear only. The first 3 gears are fairly short and stacked decently but the 3-4 shift has a pretty healthy gap. the 4-5 is fine but don't count on pulling 6th gear from a redline 5th gear shift.
The magnum road race gear set has a much longer 1st gear (~10%) and then stacks everything tighter throughout the rest of the gears. Even with my 2.66 first gear (vs 2.97) and the 3.5 final drive my first two gears require a light throttle and that's before a solid tune.

Thank you for the gearing info. I guess I will just see how the 3.3 is and go from there, sounds like it may be fine. I have yet another question, this time regarding the gas pedal. Planning on the DBW ls2 from a 05-06 gto and from what I have read I need to cut and weld my Nissan pedal to allow fitment of the potentiometer from the ls2 pedal. Is there a picture of what exactly I need to do? A bit confused.

im curious to where you are going to try an run the down pipe i had to make a custom motor mount for my huge 4 inch DP.
As to the stock G35 Tach working with the GM ECU will not work with out alot of $$$$$ and time and modifying the stock cluster with new hardware. Cass was able to make it work due to the Vipec standaolne ECU using CAN out signals that were the same as the Stock cluster. Just go with a stack or something like it or make your own with multiple autometer gauges its up to you.
