Never seen it done...
most that want a V8 go LS or if they want a challenge they'll swap a VK

The closest swap I've seen is the RSR Scion FRS

People usually go with the LS motors because the pushrod heads are much narrower that the DOHC Coyote heads. The LS motors are also cheaper and more plentiful. Plus, there's no real power advantage to using the Coyote.

There are a lot of auto and manual Coyote swaps being done even though as Cobra stated, the LS's are compact, cheap and plentiful. The FPP control packs simplify the wiring into just about anything. If that's not enough, the FPP S/C calibrations are now 750 hp. They're so well engineered, on a new Mustang, (up to 2020) the warranty 3/36 covers parts *and* labor.
I'd LOVE to do one in our S14, our Z33 is too well kept and original.
it's truly a magical time to be alive.

zero as in zero point.. the dohc engine is massive.. swapping a similar nissan vk45 is a better idea and has already been done many times.
even better yet is stick w an ls and do it in three weekends with a plethroa of cheap, available parts.
youre reinventing the wheel w the notion of a ford engine here.
