Default Vq35de rev up block with vq35de non rev heads

I have a 04 350z track model. I want to update my engine. I have look but it seems like every one wants to try rev up heads on non rev block. I want better block. Has anyone ever used a rev up or hr block with non rev heads?
if not is the pathfinder coolant mod the best for the non rev block?

Sorry to say, there is no better shortblock than the one you already have. The VQ35DE won plenty of Wards Automotive design awards from 2003-06, and there's no real advantage to swapping unless the engine is damaged. The HR block is quite different internally, so don't even consider a swap there.

I know the hr is different. Just trying to do every upgrade I can to the engine when I rebuild it. I read a lot about the coolant getting real hot by the rear cylinders so I was thinking maybe new block they might have fixed that.

Build the DE block and run the Pathfinder cooling mod. Save the headaches.

You can use the HR head gasket and machine the coolant passages. This will change the coolant flow to be more like the HR.
