LS 350z engine swap

I do appreciate the guys that put the time, effort, and money into LS swapping but it seems like most (not all) LS swaps come out looking like **** … disorganized, wires everywhere, only half the interior works, oil/fluid leaks, intake pipes that look like junk, etc…
I’ve really only riden in a few and obviously the torque comes earlier and hits a little harder but you have to shift earlier and it seems like all you do is shift gears between short bursts of torque??
Ehhhh…no thanks, not for me … turbo it and wring it out to 6500 to 7000rpm…
but more power to the people that like the LS swap… just not for me…

It's ok for a drift car but not if you want something that feels sorted, if you go T56 then the gearing isn't ideal for stock LS power level.
Most won't do the math and play around with gearing or FD ratios.
New motor, motor mounts, transmission, exhaust, etc. The list goes on plus if you don't have to knowledge and fab skills it will be a pretty penny and cost more than you get imo.
If I'm honestly going to go with a "cheapish" Nissan and work it I'd just go with the S14 with the SR20. An LS Z just isn't worth it to me IMO. Vettes or a WS6 can be found for fairly cheap now instead. It was cool back in the day for this but its super dated.

Only swap I'd like to see is a VR38 swap.
I'm on lowbudget but I'm looking to ls swap my 03 auto z. My question may be dumb because I'm new to engine swaps but with a isr transmission adapter can you put and ls on a stock automatic 350z trans and if you can how much hp can it take.
I dont know that anyone here has an exact answer for you related to your transmission... roughly speaking a OEM unmodified 5AT transmission is going to take 300 to 350, possibly 400ft-lbs of torque before it fails. Depending on which LS engine you choose this could be 300 to 400hp - similar to your budget, keep your expectations low.

For that budget, consider swapping in a rebuilt VQ35DE and paying for some professional help in getting it installed.
