Default Shipping A Car from NC to Germany Quote... (Only FYI)

I got this quote today from the company that is gonna ship my car to Germany next year when I move there. I just wanted to share just in case anybody was considering shipping their car anywhere. With this quote you can get an idea of the cost of shipping a vehicle to oversea's.

Attn:
The rate to ship your vehicle is as follows:
Ocean Freight/Service $ 3395.00 ( from NC to Bremerhaven,Germ)
Export Documenation $95.00
Insurance/Service 3% of Insured Val. Min $95..
My car is going from NC to Berlin, Germany but I have to pick it up at Bremerhaven, Germany apparently. 4K is not bad when I was thinking 6k

How long ago was that? I ship containers all over the world for my job and $1765 for a dedicated 20' is very low.

You also want to verify all charges such as fuel surcharge, dryage and yard handling. Sometimes all you get is the ocean freight charge when asking for a quote.

Best of luck to ya.

Oh I have been living in and out of Germany for about 4 years now. I am very familiar with Euro's no doubt and I still hate them. Well actually i love them, I hate the dollar when changing to euro's. lol Thats the butt kicker. SO where are you located. I think I will be livinga round the frankfurt area more than likely.

Well no actually I am not military any more, I am civilian now. I wish i could use the military shipping. It would be so much easier on me that is for sure.

Does anybody recommend a shipping company with climate controlled crates.

Climate controlled crates ... you may want to rethink that. That would be insanely priced.
