Nice pictures! I posted mine over in the Southeast section under the thread posted by the Triangle Z Club promoting the show, https://my350z.com/forum/south-east/...t-nov-1st.html.

Actually the Daytona Blue Roadster took second in the Z33 category.

There were some nice Z33s there. It was tough competition.

Z34? I don't see any Z34s.

As for the other Z33s all of the winners were anything but stock.

Finally got around to posting a results thread at TriangleZClub.com...

http://www.trianglezclub.com/index.p...ic&p=7525#7525

I'll copy it here...

What can we say, another beautiful day with friends, food and Z cars !

We think the 2008 Triangle Z Club Fall Show was our best ever, and we hope everyone who attended agrees.

The weather was beautiful Saturday, sunny all day with a high of around 75. We had 48 registered vehicles, and with the cruise in atmosphere that developed due to our larger location at Crossroads Nissan, we counted 65 Z’s in the parking lot at one time.

It was great to get back together with old friends and meet new ones. We had participants from North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Maryland.

We had great representation of all generations, and were able to have a class for each model. We had more unique vehicles that stand out than ever before. In no particular order, those that come to mind are an 88 Shiro Z31 with 7,500 miles, a perfectly restored and clean 86 Z31 2+2, both S30 and S130 right hand drive Fairlady Z’s, a 96 Stillen SMZ (I’m told the only silver one built), a convertible 280Z, a Ford V8 powered widebody 280Z, and an awesome Z32 making it’s re-debut after a track accident last year. The rows of ultra clean 240Z’s, Z32’s and Z33’s were almost overwhelming !

All participants received lunch and a show t-shirt as part of registration. Doug Saul’s Barbeque in Nashville provided the barbeque sandwich lunch. We had 25 pounds of barbeque, and we cleaned the container. By the way, the requests for potato salad are duly noted ! The t-shirt and show art was once again done by Allen Smith of the Emerald City Z Club, many people complemented the art saying it was our best ever, and we sold quite a few extra t-shirts to prove it.

Sunday Bain Williams and the Cape Fear Z Club once again hosted the Z Blast pig picking and poker run. My family and I made it down for the pig (imagine that) and hanging out with friends, but missed the poker run. Hopefully someone can write a bit about that experience this year. I saw some video of a kite festival that was something you don’t run in to every day.

Thanks to all our volunteers who helped this year, Stacy, Marty, Kevin, Teresa, Alex, Ryan, April and everyone else I am forgetting, you all made this event run as smooth as possible. Special thanks to everyone who came out, we appreciate you and hope to see all of you and more next year !

22's on a Z?? Not to mention the Ebay tails on the DB convertible? To OP, your z should've taken 1st place. Its clean and aggressive with FI. I just don't understand what the judges were smoking........

Quick comment on the "overall loser" from above, I have seen more than one comments about this car not placing.....

This car is awesome, I would gladly drive it home, and spent a bit of time admiring it. I don't usually go into details after a show, but I feel this one deserves it. This car was in fourth place by just a few points, the spread between 4th and 1st in 350Z was 5.5 points.

This car just lost a few points due to cleanliness and wear and tear issues, it could easily place highly with a good detailing and some prep work.

I hope to see it again next year, its' purposeful eye toward performance really appeals to my tastes....

Although I am not trying to start a pissing contest, I have to disagree with your assessment of the competition. There were some nice 350Zs there. Sometimes pictures don't do a show or a a car justice. If you weren't at the show it's hard for me to believe by looking at pictures you can judge other 350Zs as weak.

At the same time in no way am I saying that the OP's car wasn't a nice 350Z because it was. As Jason posted the car had some cleanliniess and wear and tear issues in comparison with the cars that finished higher. I noticed those as well when I walked around looking at the cars. Some of those don't necessarily show up in pictures as well as they might in person. Like it or not, in a judged show cleanliness is always a factor.

The majority of the 350z's in the pictures are running on stock rims. At most car shows the minimum requirement for presenting is aftermarket wheels. Unless you are displaying a unique car like the Nismo 350z, a car with stock wheels is...................

Oh, come on. You're seriously going to tell me a stock clean Z is going to score better than a nicely modified Z? Lets not even get started with the DB convertible with the Ebay looking lights..... Oh, my favorite, the Z with 22' bling bling wheels that looks like a 4x4. I understand that the judges were looking for cleanliness, but I seriously think that they were biased towards TSG-Z's Z. Better yet, they don't even know what a nicely modified Z is....

Man you guys are unbelieveable. Perhaps there is a communication gap from east coast to west coast. Let me try this one more time. NO STOCK 350Z (Z33) PLACED IN THE TOP THREE AT THIS SHOW.

THIRD PLACE went to the Black 350Z with Lambo doors, a big stereo and 22" rims among other mods. Not my cup of tea, but certainly not a stock Z. I would have placed the OP's Z third if I was judging based on the competition.

SECOND PLACE went to the DB 350Z roadster. Again anything but stock and very clean, whether you like the tail lights or not.

FIRST PLACE went to my DB coupe. Again anything but stock.

Maybe tastes do vary from east coast to west coast.
