Intensepower Grand Opening/10th Anniversary and Charity Car Show!
I wanted to post some pics of Intensepower's 10th Anniversary car show from this weekend. I was helping with the event, so I wasn't able to take picks. Here is a brief run-down off the event:
200+ Cars
1,000+ Spectators
Intensepower's entire new lobby filled with canned goods and toys for the Salvation Army, St Mary's Food back, and Goodwill
3 Major Sponsors - AEM, K&N and UTI
Hot Models
Top Fuel Drag Racing Titanium Pistons for the 1st winner of each show category
Pictures (Not by me...
).....

Mike,
Thanks for posting this thread, and coming out to help. Without the VOLUNTEERS like yourself, the success of this event (supporting multiple charities during the toughest time of the year for struggling families) wouldn't have been nearly as triumphant. I, myself, was a VOLUNTEER at this event, as it was on a Saturday, and not during a business day. To that end, EVERY PERSON THAT HELPED AT THIS EVENT WAS A VOLUNTEER because NOBODY was monetarily (or otherwise) compensated for their assistance at this event - this includes all models, photographers, Intense employees, cooks, etc etc etc (get the point?).
On a somber note, I was advised that Mike (Slidefox) was recently approached by IB/Administration regarding his not being a sponsor, yet he was only posting pics of an event that was 100% non-profit, 100% purely to support charities. I can assure IB/administration that Mike is and has not been on the payroll of Intensepower for over 2 years now (since his user name was created or thereabouts). This being the second thread where Mike's employment has been brought into question, I should hope will have an ending with Mike providing a copy of his most recent pay stub from the company that he is employed by... (although it is really subhuman for this to be brought up from a thread about charity...I didn't think one could sink as low, but then again...)
Apparently, a competitor of ours, who has a deep need for therapy has an old screen shot of Mike as one of our "staff" (I use staff lightly because no where does it state that just because you are listed as our staff you are an employee -- for instance, professional Drift/Indy driver Ryan Hampton is listed on our staff section, but he's not a paid employee -- we have the right to list whomever we want in that section without defining the private details of our arrangements, as that is OUR business, not ANYONE else's). Just for giggles, I test anyone to find Mike Fox on our staff page (which hasn't been updated for several weeks) so as to get beyond this pettiness.
Again, the charity car show was a great success for all of the charities that we set out to support. Many manufacturers in this community including KSport, PowerLab and AEM provided and supported product to be raffled off to give to these charities. It would be my hope that, rather than lowering this community to petty competitor/third party harassment, that honor and praise be the predominant replies, even by our "competitors".
I suppose "'tis the season" doesn't quite carry the same weight it once did though, now does it?
Darren(feels accomplished for doing for these needful charities/people, regardless of the drama being created against one of our volunteers who gave up his own free time to help out a genuine cause)
