I will not support a replica. I would rather pay the higher shipping costs than buy from erebuni. Plus when Erebuni makes a replica they don't do it from an original piece in house. They "eyeball" it from the pictures they stole from the internet. Expect to pay what you saved in shipping costs and group buy discounts at the body shop to make it fit correctly.

I'll keep waiting for an authorized US distributor.

tony, im not 100% sure on this, but i believe if erebuni were to replicate the kit, they would actually purchase a kit from italy & use it to make the mold for the replication. just as they did for the INGS & NISMO kit they replcated. aslo, purchasing a kit they may have replicated here in the u.s. means we have negotiation of potential discounts or recredits to our cc's(for example) or even shipping the items back if they are not to our expectations. this is eliminated when we purchase items over seas. if any items were damaged in shipping we have to deal with the overseas shipping facility to make an insurance claim wich isnt very time mannerly.....also, if the quality of the kit isnt as great as we have heard from speed-racing guess whos paying the shipping back over seas if were not satisfied? yup, us. then were stuck with either payiung to ship back(wich im sure noone would opt for) or paying extra to the bodyshop to make it fit........here we have a more affordable option to return the items or even negotiate a potential $ return for the hassle......just a thought. i dont want to jump to any conclusions just yet. ill get in touch on monday after i contact erebuni....

Damn guys, I go away for a day and look what you go and find out, ha. Well, This is certainly an interesting prospect. As far as whole kit prices, yes I have asked but the only thing speed-racing replied with was the 18% off deal for what he called "piece(s)". The last info I got from speed-racing was a response to how I was planning on breaking up the shipment to reship it to you guys. He said he would build one large box and inside would be seperate boxes for each of your respective orders. So, really all I would have to do is get the truck and drop them off wherever/however you wanted it shipped to you. To be honest with you, I am getting a little anxious about how long it takes him to get back to me on the shipment quote. Sorry for my ignorance, but do they do Christmas in Italy? If so I will let it slide, ha. Otherwise he has been good to deal with aside from the slow factor. Please let me know what you find out from Erebuni, as this might be a better route for all of us. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Good looking out Justin!!!

ok guys & gals, heres the scoop. i spoke with hovik at erebuni today. the kits are the originals from italy. why speed-racing didnt tell us i am unsure. they are getting a shippment of kits in about 6 weeks. so if you order now you will have to wait 6weeks. the shipping costs from them is a maximum of $90, thats for the entire kit(flat rate freight anywhere in the u.s.) then it gets cheaper from there depending on what pieces you want individually. so thats great news! the prices are as follows:

entire kit(-splr) =$1071.00
front lip =$321.00
rear valence =$380.00
side skirts =$475.00
rear spoiler =$530.00

i asked him about a GB & he asked for me to find out exactly who would want what parts & to get him a list. then depending on how many parts etc would be sold they can come up with a special GB setup for us, so it may possibly get even better then what i have listed! if you have any questions you can contact hovik from erebuni at 888-erebuni ext.503, hes very friendly & willing to help us!

im stoked!!

if so im more kin to approval, that way i can save up for 6 weeks.

I also assume that they come unpainted, how much extra for paint?

erebuni doesnt offer paint matching as that should be done with the car/parts in question right in front of them......you will need to contact a local bodyshop for paint estimates......

i agree with laidbackracr, we should wait to hear from theminel about the quality. not sure how long we will need to wait to hear about fitment? either way, when we feel satisfied as a group we can start the GB list & go from there........heck we have 6 weeks untill the kits arrive at erebuni, not sure how many are accounted for already? by the sounds of it(when i talked with hovik) none of them were........

also i wanted to share this PS pic that i asked tonywenzel to put together for me. he quikly put this pic together to give me an idea of what i asked for would look like. im extremely satisfied with the look. i asked him to close the grated opening in the rear valence fully & move the exhaust tips into the slotted openings in the center bottom of the valence. i plan to fab the exhaust piping/tips to get this look....just wanted to share:

Yeah, as soon as I saw that rear valence I had that pictured in my head. I love the rear valence but hate how the mesh was cut around the muffler tips......I thought a dew others would like the center exhaust as well (=

nice PS, you think moving the pipes to the center would be complicated? would it burn some of the rear valence? just trying to figure things out, i like that setup too.

If you didn't have a center muffler like stock or borla it would be easy. Inline mufflers allow a more room to manipulate the piping in different areas. The center mufflers force you to have piping that wraps around the outside getting the pipes close to the bodykit. But it can be done.......

reason is:

Speed Racing designed the kit, but then brought it to a manufacturer for manufacturing
At that point Emanuele (Speed Racing boss) wasn't even aware of the size of the market for the Z in the US, and since in Italy it is a fairly small market, he only "gained" rights for Italy. The manufacturing company has practically stuffed him and is selling the kits to who they want, worldwide. He could sue, I guess, but apparently it is not worthwhile
I am glad you guys found someone based in US, but be aware that the kit should be coming from Italy. Knowing Erebuni's reputation, I have a feeling that what they'll do is purchase ONE kit from the manufacturer, then copy it and make it themselves, and NOT buy the lot from the Italian manufacturer.
