Default Interior Styling?

Ok after being in quite a few competitive sports cars, I've noticed that the Z is seriously lacking in interior styling and design. I mean the abundance of plastic just kills it. Take the S2K interior. It features leather wrapped doors and a nice overall design. Now I'm not knocking the Z interior but it just feels way too flimsy to me. Even the RSX type S seems to have a nicer interior. Nowadays the only thing I like about the Z's interior is my mango seats haha. So anyone have any comments or suggestions as to how to tastefully spice up the interior? Thanks.

ignore it.. I changed the steering wheel and shifter.. but the overall design and implementation is just weak, still wonder why they didn't just raise the price by a grand to put a decent interior in..

I think its because they didnt mean for the Z to be a luxury car. They made the Z a sports car, if people wanted to buy a Z for its pretty interior, they could just go buy a G35.

I actually like the Zs interior, though the quality could be improved by using better materials...I just try to remember its a sports car and not a luxury sedan

Please take off the steering wheel cover, your car has a leather wrapped steering wheel already.

As for the wood kit: it would look really nice if it was a wraparound kit, but I think it clashes with the frost interior too much. Just my $.02, but if you like it it's all that matters.

Hey Bubble, your interior looks AWESOME. Where did you get it done, just a regular body shop? And if you don't mind me asking, how much?

I was thinking of doing something very similar to set off the interior of my car, cept I was thinking of just doing the center console and the door arm rests.

I currently own a RSX base and I've been shopping for a Z as of late and somehow I just can't get over the plastics of the Z ><
What I want to know is if the Z's performance really gets your mind off the crappy interior. ><

I think you mean lacking in quality, not styling. The styling and design are excellent, IMO. I haven't had a single passenger that didn't have a positive comment on the styling. Usual adjectives is 'futuristic' .... but I agree, the overuse of the textured plastic on the center console and doors just kills me. Some aluminum, paint, and some leather on the doors can fix that,

I agree with you Patrick. I think in the near future I will redo the headliner, a pillar, and parts of the door panel in black alcantara. I think this will give the interior a classic look. Also debating about doing the center console in body color (SB) Cause if its not real CF, I wont put it on.
