Default Tein Hood Damper

Has anyone bought these yet for their Z's, I haven't heard or known of anyone that has bought these. Just wondering on how well it works. I found it on ebay and on 350ztuner.com.

Any reviews?

although we have not installed any here, we have sold a few sets. They are nice, and work well, if you don't mind modifying the battery and reservoir covers. I'm looking to get these myself.

Why is your battery on the drivers side and brake master cylinder on the passengers? Is this not your car?

Is there nothing to adapt the battery and fluid covers to these dampers.... Damn to think Tein could have engineered something like that

There's a guy that sells these on the forums for about $75 and they are black. Try a search if you have time and save some dough.

Back from the dead!

So how do these work? They act like shocks in the rear hatch in holding up the hood w/ enough pressure to keep it from falling?

You can keep the covers, but they will need to be cut where the damper connects to the engine bay. There's a picture of modified covers floating around somewhere.

I'm looking to get these someday (after I get rims, plenum, exhaust, ...).
