Default Amuse Side Skirts???

Hey Everyone,

I'm interested in getting this side skirt but I wanted to ask if any of you has actually installed it? If so, I have a few questions:

[1] How is the fitment? What is this made of?

[2] Will this side skirt fit with our OEM fenders? Just curious if this has to fit with their fender?

[3] Where did you order it and how long did it take you to get it?

[4] Does anyone make a replica version of this? If so, who and what material do they use?

Also, can you please post some good pics of your setup? All I've seen are the ones that are on vendor's sites such as the following from bulltetproofautomotive.com :

Thanks,
James

Ahh, not alot of people on this board has this kit for their Z. The only person I recall having this full kit is someone that goes by the s/n GY-Z. Maybe you can PM to get a couple of questions answered.

[2] Will this side skirt fit with our OEM fenders? Just curious if this has to fit with their fender?

It will. Since this kit is not wide body, the Amuse fenders are the same as stock.

[4] Does anyone make a replica version of this? If so, who and what material do they use?

Last time I checked, there isn't a replica for this kit.

Thanks Queenz350Z. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond & answer some of my questions. I'll try to track down GY-Z. I think I've seen him in some other threads I was in.

[1] i'd say the fitment is good, but not perfect.some minor adjustment is needed.there's 2 option you can get this kit made of, frp, and dry carbon.mine is frp.
[2] it can fit with stock fender.
[3]i ordered it through my local shop here in vancouver B.C. Canada.they ordered it straight through japan amuse.depends if amuse has the kit in stock, i was lucky they did have the kit in stock and it took me around 1.5 months.

[4] i dont think there's a replica avalible, but if there is, i'm sure its gonna be fiberglass.

i'll try to post some pic tommorow, its kinda late now.
hope it helped.

Thanks GY-Z for taking your time to answer some of my questions & posting some pics! Your setup looks sweet!!! I really want these side skirts since it's simple and clean. The problem is trying to find out who has this in stock and ready to ship here in the U.S. . I really want to avoid having to wait a couple of months just for these skirts but considering how rare they are, it seems like I'll have no choice. I guess the search is on. I know a few places that sell these so I'll start talking with them first about this skirts availablity.

If anyone else has these skirts, please continue to post pictures & submitting your comments. I might as well continue this thread to help those who are also interested in this kit.

Thanks again!
James

Hey GY-Z,

There's one more favor I want to ask of you...Could you please post some close-up shots of just the side skirts please? I'm specifically looking at where it meets your rear fender and on your front fender. I also want to see how far that lip/rim sticks out.

Thanks again!

i think INGS+1 makes a similar side skirt if you are looking for a cheaper alternative.

Thanks Dave. I can't read Japanese but I'm sure it says something in there that roughly says "it's going to be a long while before you get your kit shipped to U.S. from Japan." .

Sorry to hear that GT-Z . No worries...I may end up going with some other side skirts since these seem to be too much trouble to find/ship. Hope you get your car fixed soon!
