its also soft... well not soft, but like if you pushed with your nail, itd go in a bit. I used to get little stars on my homework in elementary school out of the same material.

ignoring appearance of the silver which normally I think looks good, that one is cheap looking and feeling.

I don't have the kit, however I agree that the stick-on nature of this appears to look really cheap (especially the vent trim accents, whooo).

In the gallery, I found a few albums:

Not sure if you looked at those.

You may not have wanted "opinions" about the kit, however maybe the board can help you. What are you trying to achieve? Do you just want to make the middle of the interior silver? There's been a few members who have sanded and painted parts of the interior and with a clear coat, it looks similar to that, but without the stuck-on cheap look. Toykill* (I think that was the member name -killer, -killa, something like that) did a stereo install and sanded and painted his white and it came out very nice.

Chicken, thanks for the limks. They look like that kit. I do not want the painted look on the interior. Want something closer to what the OEM interior metal looks like. Like the G35's have on the console.

I'm not sure what the G35's look like (have to check out my neighbor's car), but I'd think you'd be able to do a flat silver and it would look like metal/aluminum. At least as much as( if not more) that that kit would do?

I managed to find a couple of painted images. This was the one I was thinking about...

And here is another, but excuse the horridness of the entire thing and just (try) to focus on the painted part. To me, overall this is aweful, but someone liked it enough to do it...

EDIT: The URL is blocked here.

I have a overlay kit like the one on EBAY...but not in the "imitation" brushed aluminum...I have heard everyone who buys any of the "imitation" brushed alum. complain....They then say when the get "real" brushed aluminum, it was O.K.....Dave
