Default Nismo Speedometer

Just change my speedometer to the Nismo, now my car shows that i have run 0 miles...

Is this normal? Mechanic tells it as its the speedo that keeps the data and not the ECU of the car.

If anyone has info on this please let me know.

Thanks!!

Yeah that is true. The speedo holds all the mileage info. I work for Jaguar part time and when we have to order speedos we have to specify the mileage it had on it, so when we get the new one in it shows the same mileage.

that's awesome

of course, the dealer should have a pretty good idea of your mileage since they record it every time you take it in for service.

that is indeed true...i work at a Nissan, GM, Jeep, dealership in the parts dept. and I order on average about 2-4 instrument clusters a week and each odometer reading has to be inserted into the new cluster. When we call and order them, we tell them the exact mileage and keep the vehicle overnight so the odometer is totally acurate(for legal reasons of course)...so yeah...whereever you got the cluster obviously didn't ask for your current mileage(which you could lie about anyway) and you have a BRAND NEW CAR!

Only downside...is i'm hoping the dealer isn't going to accuse you of mileage rollback. Other than that, good luck with your "brand new" car.

nismo has 2 different things from the stock one.
1. yes, nismo name.
2. they don't have redline indication on rpm.
just flat orange color till end.

Yes, that is true. You now will have to keep track of the milage in KM, not Miles hehe, lol. Reminds me of my old accord with all the JDM stuff on it, it was a pain in the butt to keep track, but i had over 100K miles before I changed the cluster over so.....

WE have these on sale by the way, PM me for special sale pricing.............
