911 HeadLights on Z????

I think it doesnt fit the car well, and i kno that many people like the Z just because of the front design. In the end its ur car do what u want, maybe it will come out nice, but in my opinion the body lines dont match with the lights and by the looks of that image, it aint pretty. laterZ

off topic but what about lifting Calipers and rotors(off a wrecked porsche) and dumping them on a z? [/B][/QUOTE]
Is that for real, u can really do that. I kno that u probly need to make new lines but is that all u have to do and they would work with the car?

Look at the contents of a BBK: caliper, rotor, and lines
nothing really all that special

Youre kidding right? Porche is very well respected for putting AWESOME feeling/working brakes on most of their road cars. They are even (to my knowlege) the first company to put full ceramic brakes on a road car, proving that they take very seriously the notion of testing at the track then building the street car similarly. All 911 brakes are a vast improvement over stock nissan brakes. Dont fool yourself into thinking otherwise.

I wasnt talking about brakes in *that* particular post, I was talking about headlamp assembly swapping which is the topic of this thread.
HOWEVER, in reference to the brakes.. there's pretty much no advantage to swapping in porsche brakes in lieu of the track model brembo brakes. When it comes to production cars that arent supercars, I cant think of any other car that has better brakes than the track model brembos, because those are pretty much some of the best OEM brakes available.. that arent excessively overpriced. Of course, if you have any friends with a Carrera GT maybe you can pull the ceramic brakes off of that, and pay 20,000 or something nuts like that when you need a brake job. Or just buy another Z33.
The MAJOR benefit (if major is even a good word to use) would be going with a big brake kit, and not that the stopping distances are significantly more, but atleast you have a two piece rotor assembly which results in unsprung weight. AND, they are typically bigger (not that that is a huge thing) because the Z33 already comes with pizza pan 12.X" rotors.. which is fine for me, but maybe some people need more.
Not knocking the porsche brakes, just saying that everything has a limit as to how good it can be.. especially when it comes to brakes, where tires and suspension play a HUGE role when it comes to stopping distances. The biggest benefit in brake caliper/rotor/pad quality is repeat stops and high speed stops.
Here is an interesting link I made for those wondering, I've been running Z32-TT 4-piston aluminum brakes on my S13 for a while now, but I picked up some track model brakes which are a fairly nice (and inexpensive) upgrade. Upside is the size, downside is the unsprung weight and larger wheels I need to run.. which going from 16x8 to 17x9 wont necessarily be a benefit.. but its probably a good tradeoff.

For those of us who dont have brembos and would like a big brake kit and dont care to pay the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for the damn kits. Ill gladly rip the crap off a porsche...
Ill admit it, I am going for looks, I want something that will fill up the gap that my 19 inch volks are going to create. I also would not mind eliminating the brake fade that comes with coming down off 100+ mph.
I really haven't looked into this mod beyond posting my idea about it in this thread. Im not sure what it might cost me to go to a junk yard and pick up what I need.
Im pretty sure I can pick up what I need for well under 1k.
