Default What is a reasonable price for Lambo Doors and what company should I buy it from?

I plan to purchase the lambo doors for my future Z. I was just wondering, which company's doors have the least problems and just overall which company's is considered the best. And what is a reasonable price I should look for, because I found some good prices on ebay than I did at other places. And my last question is, what are the problems I might have with these doors. And is there a way to avoid them.

VDC. Vertical Doors. http://verticaldoors.com/

I wouldn't go cheap on this, get it from VDC and IMO won't have as many problems.

I agree w/ nis350ztt...you'll get what you pay for. Finding a good and experienced installer will help you avoid some of the problems. Some problems you can't avoid - like the gas struts going bad or something like that.

I think Decah was the first company to come out with a kit for the Z.

I haven't heard of VDC owners having any problems, unlike Decah.

Just my 2 cents.

+1. You can get away with cheaping out on rims or a kit, but you'll get screwed big time if you go cheap on a big mod like this.

lambo doors are cool looking, but the functionality is laughable. You have to adjust the hinges every few months and they wiggle as they go up. It doesn't feel like it's part of the car at all and it totally feels cheap.. I would like to have one if there were shock ones that are totally firm and doesn't ruin the fender panel like 80% of the kits I've seen.

Decah supposedly had fitment issues. I'm not sure what you mean by the doors "wiggling". Mine feel perfect and are rock solid. I have the vertical doors kit.

I have looked into this and have heard A LOT of horror stories about decah kits. I would go with the VDC. I thought about getting one but decided it probably wasn't worth the trouble for something that will just make more ppl jealous and want to key my car in the student parking lot. Oh well...maybe in a while.

But...if I did buy one I had already decided that it would be the VDC.

Like I said (maybe it was in another thread) I got mine in a group buy that I organized with vertical doors and we got about 20 buyers involved and they gave it to us for $1050 shipped.

Default LSD Vertical Doors

I saw the LSD kit on a Z at the Geneva Auto Salon earlier this week. I just posted a thread about it on the SoCal board:
