Yes...it would be tackie. It would be good for a show-only car but not for a daily driver.

paint it the color you like, regardless of what people think. the green would look great IMO! i ran into a pic here that somone had shopped. it was a z with a bodykit & it was painted lime green. very hot looking! do a search on " another green z", youll find it. it is possible i saw it at 350zmotoring.com but am unsure.........i always wanted to see an emerald green z with the gold volk sf challenge wheels. i bet that would look amaizing!!
paint your z the color you like, some will like & some will not. just the way they feel about some the factory colors. everyone has opinions & you cannot please everyone. but pleasing yourself makes the most sense....go for it!!

If you want a lot of attention then get it. What color is it now? Such a dramatic change would mean pretty much stripping your car apart unless you want the engine bay to be a totally different color. If you had say, a black car then the lime green with black engine bay would contrast nicely. I guess if you have the time and money to do it then go for it. Personally I wouldn't do it but I love the color I have and wouldn't want to go through the painting process.

Heads will turn for the first month. Then you would just be known as the guy with the lime green Z, but after the intial, "...dude, that's sweet" stage, I would think you're just a tool trying to get attention, unless you put down at least 450hp to the ground...then you would command respect and could actually paint zebra stripes on it.

Too flashy for me. Maybe if it had a super aggressive body kit and a built TT kit pushing 500 whp.

I tried to get it pretty close..then just messed around with other colors. Image looks like crap because of the size limit and I don't wanna upload it elsewhere...

For me the question is this:
Are you gonna get a $10,000 paint job to get the proper pearl multi layer effect, or are you simply going to match the color?
A Z with the true Lambo paint would look good.
A Z with lime green flat paint will look like a spray painted 82 Supra with one of those weird reflective sunshades over the back window that say "SUPRA"!!
but it is your money and your car.Have fun with it, you can't take either with you.
