Default Yellow overlay question

I was just wondering how those yellow tint overlay things people put on their headlights affect the actual light output. Do they turn the light yellow, or do they still shine through as the blueish white HID color? Does it take away a lot of brightness?

I think they'd look neat on a white Z, but not if it takes away the HID effect.

They make the lights appear just a bit green. It does diminish the light output somewhat. But it is not too noticeable. The HID effect is uneffected.

My lights look white from a slight distance and Cops don't even notice the yellow overlays at night. The light output is still great.

I'm actually removing the ones that I got from bat because after the 3rd day they started peeling off ... Also they are a floresent yellow... I've ordered the ones from Performance Nissan after seeing them in person.. the material feels ALOT better than the ones I have now..

yea i had bluebats and they were "highlighter" yellow and did not like the color (or the light output VERY YELLOW). I have had the yellow overlays from performance nissan for about 6 months now and love them.

Light out put at night with the HID's is within 20 feet of the car you can tell they have a yellowish tint... anything over that they look like a stock halogen color (AKA no mess with cops).

The material is also a little thicker from performance nissan www.Mynismo.com(although a little more expensive). good luck.
