Default a question about the track model and the nismo kit

hello all... i was just curious if someone could tell me if i were to get the track model, and the nismo kit, would the rear spoiler of the kit fit into the pre-drill holes of the spoiler already on the track model of the z?

I'll be able to tell you tomorrow. My kit just got here and I will be taking off the stock spoiler tomorrow.

I think DWNSHIFT said in another thread that some holes needed to be drilled. However, I don't know if he was installing on a track model or not and I don't know if the holes he drilled were in addition to the stock holes or instead of the stock holes. Anyway, if he doesn't respond to this thread by tomorow, I'll post my finding.

OK, here's the scoop. After removing the stock spoiler, which is a pain in the a$$ with all the double sided tape that is used, I see 2 holes that were used to bolt down the stock spoiler and 2 holes for clips in the stock spoiler.

The NISMO spoiler requires 4 holes for mounting. It uses the 2 holes that the stock spoiler used plus 2 more that I will need to drill. The holes for the clips will be covered up by the NISMO spoiler.

So the track models will have 2 extra holes in the rear deck but they are covered up so IMHO it doesn't really matter.

I will be. It's getting painted early next week so I will be installing it over Thanksgiving.

Keep your eyes peeled.

Very cool. Definitely post pics. I was pondering putting the Nismo wing on my track model when I finally get it. I want to see what it will look like.

It'll look sweet no doubt about it.
