i know in japan that nissan actually offers the momo evolution wheel for the Z with an airbag. it's pretty much impossible to get over i think b/c they aren't allowed to ship the airbag.

not sure about laws in CA, but i thought the car must have an airbag in the aftermarket wheel if the car came with an airbag wheel...i might be wrong...

Its actually a federal mandate. If it came with an airbag.. the new wheel must have an airbag...

But... I've yet to see this enforced.

It should be fine if you can use a quick release hub. For shows, throw on the Momo. I just did it on my 240sx. But I'm sure it's very different cause it didn't have airbags.

Do you have cruise control? If so, what do you plan on doing with the switches?

...could drill a few holes and mount them on the flat spot on the dash under the wheel. Would be a pain in the *** to get to, but it would be functional.
