Default Carbon Fiber Hood Louvers

Hey guys, I was just curious if anyone had these or saw them on a Z. Opinions? Depending on how much these pieces are, they might be a cheaper alternative to vented cf hoods, help with heat dissipation, and also add a nice visual touch.

The top right pic looks like its on a Z but I'd like to see a full size picture.

just found another pic. My Z is Silverstone though and I think I'd have the vents facing the opposite way as in the first pic.

ahhhhhh yeah.... 280ZX niceness...

i'm not really into those, unless the car is putting out so much power (and heat) via turbo where its a requirement.

sorry man didn't know u were serious.

they remind me of those riced out civics with vents that are just "stick-ons"... that don't really work. But if you are going to cut holes in your stock hood for those, I honestly suggest getting a vented hood instead. IMO they look pretty tacky...just not something I would put on a $30,000+ sports car. To each their own. just my 2 cents.

good luck.

Well, I don't really fancy the shape of the vents that you posted, but they're a decent alternative to a CF hood that will cost you about 1K by the time it's painted and installed. Since I don't think they're all that good looking, I also would hope they have some functional purpose.

the vent exit should be facing the windsheild...

who ever mounted those vents on the lemans Z has em backward.

Yea I don't think I would put some goofy sticker thing on my car to make it look cool IMO you should go with the real deal maybe like a Seibon Ts Style hood. http://www.seibon.com/pdut_detail_pic.asp?ItemID=321
