Notice that I said "just my opinion". When you post a picture of a family car with a big wing, 10 inch rims, stripes, stickers, metal fuel door, etc then you should expect people to make crap of it. I agree that being original is great and everyone has different tastes but some things are just bad. That's like saying you drink Hamm's because it tastes good.

Sorry if I offended the owner.

the pathetic piece of crap stock fuel door is the thing I hate the most on my Z. I'd pay 500 bucks if i could get a nice aluminum race style fuel door.

someone make one.

I agree. It doesn't fit right and at least on my DB it's doesn't match anything besides the bumper. I think it would look like a rip off of the Audi TT though.

mine fits ok and the color matches ok..but it's sort of...shameful to pop it open at the gas pump...like..the car looks great but that stupid little detail is so chintzy...makes the car seem 'cheaper'.

I tend to hide it while I'm pumping the gas.

they paid some decent attention to detail with the interior...why oh why did they 'cheap out' on the gas cap and door?

The lid may be cheaply made and some may fit poorly (Mine seems to match and fit ok to me), but I seriously doubt other people will notice it when you are at the gas pump. They will be looking at the car's other more attractive features.

By the way, I like the little hook on the lid to keep the cap from scratching your paint.

Word yo, hiding your gas cap sounds like some other issues mang we love you though cuz you own a Z but I don't trip THAT hard lol.

I like the holder for my cap too. Little details are cool.

I can open my trunk or gas cap with my Alpine AEC-150R Alarm.

I dont see anything wrong with the factory fuel lid or cap, I think its clean and functional.

As for these aftermarket ones, I cannot stand the look. Why attempt to make it seem like your car has a "FUEL CELL" when in reality, its just an average street car with an average gas cap.

Just say NO to trend.

I had this type on a Mustang Cobra and it looked great. I'd buy one if it matched the z brushed trim.

I think on my Z i'll just sit on it as is. No modifications at all. In about a year, i'll have a car that looks completly different than everyone elses!

Just kidding.
