I am interested in painting the brake calipers on my Roadster when it arrives. (I am assuming they are not painted form the factory). I will probably use the special G2 brake caliper paint kits since it is relatively cheap (under $40) and gets good reviews.

Here is my question... on a silverstone car, what color might look best?

If I had a blue Z I would use blue. Same with red. But with a silverstone Z what color would look cool? The G2 paint is available in silver, but that hardly seems like an improvement over "metal colored".

On the other hand, using a bright color seems a little garish on a dark silver car with a black top. Over all the car will have a fairly monochrome appearance so I am not sure how a bright color caliper would really look.

Also, if anyone has any pictures of a CS or SS Z with painted calipers PLEASE post them or mail them to me! Seeing it first would really help with the decision. (hmmm maybe a photoshop challenge?) Thanks in advance.

i gotta ss z. and i painted the calipers with the g2 paint. i picked red. i think they look good. here's a link of the caliper itself. i don't have pics of the entire car yet, but i'll post some pics once i get my rims on.

The red do look pretty nice. Do you have any pictures from a little farther away that show the red calipers and more of the rest of the car?

Anyone have pix of a Black Z with painted calp? I'm thinking of red or perhaps blue for mine.
