Would the single led bulbs 192 work in the license plate AND headlight housing?
My parking lights are working fine but they are starting to melt and die out only after 2 months or so.
im just looking for the parking lights and the license plates, everything else seems to be holding up just fine...PIAA, autolumination, or just stick with basic 192 bulbs...

The question is.... how long have you had them in lol, seems at about 2 months they burn out.

Ive decided to buy piaa's led bulbs for the parking lights, i got them in the white color. They also come in white/blue and blue/blue and theyre cheap and never seen anyone complain about piaa. Also going to buy piaa reverse bulbs most likely. Think im going go try out vleds.com leds also. I want to get the right angle leds for license plate, and one for the hatch, and lastly either the festoons by them orr.... a circuit board which they sell.
Ever wonder why we have a red reflector on our door panels? no lights in them just red reflectors.... weird.

Ok, so I hit the 3 month mark. 3 out of the 6 led's on the left side burned out, so 1/2 of the bulb isn't lit. 3 on the right flicker then stay on. These led's are POS. So I went to Pep Boys and got some Pilot LED's that are guaranteed for 100,000 hours. Apparently superbrightleds.com has a 1 year warranty too, so I'm gonna check on that as well.

sounds like leds in for the parking lights isn't working out very well. has anyone tried these? http://superlumination.com/194.htm (scroll to the bottom where they have incandescent bulbs) I was thinking of doing the super white chrome bulbs. Are 194's and 168's the same?

Well to update my progess, my PIAA parking leds suck lol. They werent a lot of money so no biggy except scratching the **** out of my hands getting them in. Theyre dim as hell, i didnt realize theres only 2 leds on each bulb. Hopefully they at least last long. I just bought 2 194 bulbs that polarg makes for my license plate, theyre incandescent but i read that theyre rated at 5w but put out 10w worth of light, just bought them on ebay for like 10 bucks shipped. As of now my blue incandescents in the license plate are dim but look nice at least so ill see.
I should be getting my SMT 24 leds from vleds, so ill see how they are. If theyre not bright thats like 38 dollars down the drain. Ill prolly get polarg bulbs for reverse if the vleds suck. As for my dome, im ordering from some guy on ebay, hes got all great ratings and hes a lot cheaper than vleds, ill keep yas posted, if your interested check out the guys store, warden-jp2002. Hes got almost the same leds, if they suck then oh well again lol, ill switch back to polarg incandescents for everything.

Im going to be changing both front and rear turn signals to LED. And is it going to be a PITA to change these out cause my knuckles are recovering right now...lol

yeah Im a little confused too
LED blinkers in the front only:
x2 (3ohm resistors) ?
LEDS blinkers in the front / back:
x4 (3ohm resistors) OR x2 (6ohm resistors) ?
I bought a pair of the Luxeons 140' degree angle from superbrightled.com, anyone ever have these burn out yet?

As far as the mission with the resistors, why even bother? So your signals blink faster? So what! Mine have been blinking fast for 2+ years

Well I installed LED lights for the front turn signal and running light, I left the larker lights as stock bulbs since they are behind the orange part of the headlight. I also changed out the rear turn signals and brake bulbs. The
3 ohm load resistors keep the flash rate normal. The front turn signals are fine but the rear signals are not bright enough for daytime...and the rear brake bulbs illuminate almost the same for braking as they do in running. Someone here mentioned reducing the voltage/amps for running so when the brakes are applied there is a bigger contrast but no info was posted on how this was accomplished. Any ideas anyone?
