Did anyone have luck finding a more reputable vendor for these LED replacements? I just finished reading the entire thread and sounds like the verdict is still out. What we really need is someone to make these with Luxeon Star LEDs. I just picked up a 1W flashlight and man are they bright! Also got a 9 LED cheapo model and its no where near as bright as the single Luxeon.

Try POLARG and PIAA from Japan. J51 bulb (T10) works pretty good on 06 Zs.

Just installed my 06 tail lights. While I was at it I put my old red 9 LED bulbs from the tails into the turn signals and I agree they are not workable. Any body have some good LED 7440's that will work? I want LED turn signals!!!

This led keeps going out. I didn't put a resistor on it becuz I thought it would hold up. Do I need to get one? This is the second time in 4 months.

Crap I just ordered the multi ones for the parking front lights.. By any chance does this make the HID's look bad? Or does it kinda give it a better white look, and not so yellow?

Any luck with a good vendor, I also read the ENTIRE thread only to find out in the end that the vendor may not be reputable and heat issues causing burnouts. Is superbrightleds.com the place to go or not? I dont want to have to replace blubs every few months...

Here's my take....

- Front amber LED turn signals = Not brighter, but give a more crisp/clean look
over stock.
- Rear clear LED turn signals = Definitely brighter than stock, looks
awesome at night. I was very happy with
these.
- Front clear LED parking light = Looks awesome but doesn't match the
stock HID. Parking light is more blue than
white, while the HID is more white. 6000K
headlights would match perfectly.
- Rear red LED brake/tail lights = I didn't see a difference with these bulbs.
Maybe a tad bit brighter, but save your
dough.

I will post pics later tonight if I don't go out w/ my g/f =)
What about the back-up lights?

I am looking for a way to make mine much, MUCH brighter. Are LED's a way to accomplish this, or will I just end up with more of a "color change," such as a whiter light?

I heard LEDs from SuperbrightLEDs.com tend to last only a few months after burning out...on my old car i had a few in the headlights and the taillights and after a few months they died out...

Default undersill leds

does anyone know where I can get white undersill leds? I bought them a few years ago (like 8 groups on each door) and because the Z is so low they get scaped off on speed bumps and stuff. thanks!

Yes. The issue is that a lot of these bulbs are setup with resistance to run at 12 volts, probably 20 to 30 milliamps, and 3.5v forward voltage. When you run you're car, it's at ~13.6 volts. That said, more voltage makes more amperage and voltage throught the resistor and into the LED. The proof, go to superbrightleds.com and look at the specs of their bulbs. I found that the only bulb that doesn't blow/blink is the single wled 192 bulb because it's not so overpowered at 13.6 volts.

What I did:
I run single led bulbs in the parking lights, custom made 7 LED JDM clear reflectors I made with appropriate resistance at 13.6 volts. Similarly, for the license plate lights, I installed 4 white 5mm leds in each housing and wired them securely to the stock harness.
