This looks like a business oppertunity to me. A nice solid cover that is available matched to the door handles and a paintable version. The hard part would be matching the body contor.
Emmm!!
If I were to design these and make them on batches of say, 10 at a time when there are ten on order, how much do you think you would pay for them?
Assume thay look great, are of the highest quality, and use the remote latch.
$250 ??

I guess I will be the first in the US to receive one of these... I understand it will take about 3-4 weeks to arrive. I will do a write-up as soon as it arrives and post asap.
Coming from the C5 Community I realized that all special parts cost a lot. I was hoping it was just for the Corvette, but I guess the Z falls into the same category.

If it's too expensive then why not just get the stock cover paint matched to the handles? Can't be more than $100. Then you can keep the remote door latch and keep your gas from being siphoned ![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

You know... compared to the price of some of the other 'gifts' that we buy for our cars, the Cobra fuel filler door isn't all bad (well, some bad, anyway).
Heck, I guess that ClearCorners.com manages to sell their very nice "$325/pair Clear Front Side-Markers w/ Single Function High-Intensity LED" kits, so $280 to replace what has to be the cheesiest part of the car is [more or less] justifiable... at least to me, it is.

Hi guys
For once we european's have a piece for the Z that is really nice! I can confirm you that this piece is made of massive aluminium (not just painted), polished an the remoted latch will still work.

using that reasoning, how come a Mitsubishi 3G eclipse fuel door, made for the car and imported to the US as well, for half the price? ($133) i think just because it is for the Z, it has to cost more.

The cap is chrome and is machined as one piece. The hardware attached is fuctionalble and is also machined very well.
We had this flaw cap one painted to match the door handles of our show car.
We will post pics of it installed.
We have two other Corba Gas Caps on order for our customers.
Heres a link to our store if anyone wants to purchase one.

So.... what's the lead time (in number of weeks, I suppose) on an order for one of these beauties -- order it now, get it when?
Thanks,

Red6 - So to match the door handles, we would have to paint it? It is reflective chrome right now? I understood it was made of aluminum. I was also eyeballing thier mirror covers but they say they are chrome also, and did not respond to an email. Why chrome when nothing on the car is chrome? How odd.
