Question

Hey... Did anybody ever get one of these? Pix? Comments?

Or, does anybody have one on order (and do you ever expect to get it)?

This really seemed like a good idea four 'pages' of posts ago!

I think that most of us who were following this thread finally gave up! Nonetheless, on December 13th, I ordered one from these folks:

http://spoilers4less.com/

I was told that their order would go in to the German source the first of January with delivery being mid-February. They will not charge my credit card until the gas filler door actually ships to me.

Anyway, I wil be sure to post when this thing actually arrives (if I'm still living, and not in the rest home!)

Thumbs up

OK... The gas filler door arrived today. If you haven't seen one of these, let me be the first to tell you 'first hand' that it is a work of art. It even has a rubber O-ring around the circumfrence so that there's no change that your paint will be chipped!

I haven't really got it installed yet... just fit it in to see how it was going to look, and I've got to say, I couldn't be happier. Well, maybe if it were not quite so "chrome" and a little more "satin" to [more or less] match the door handles. It is really well made and the attention to detail is superb. The attachment to the car is sturdier than it needs to be!

Anyway, here's the deal: I ordered it on December 14th from AutoAccessories4Less. They said that orders placed before December 31st would be shipped by February 5th. They beat their own "promise" by a few days, and they didn't hit my credit card for the amount until they shipped the product. That's fair.

All in all, it was a fully satisfactory deal, I recommemnd AutoAccessories4Less
for this thing if you are interested.

I'll post some photos when I get it actually installed (and I get the car washed!).

Cheerz,

Rob

Ditto.

Interested in the install procedure (easy/hard/tools required?) and the final result (pix!!!).

Thx.

Yeah...I've had mine for a while too! I can also vouch for autoaccessories4less they are great people to deal with.
Here's mine...but I have to get it painted (I also don't like chrome) and the piece has to be on the car because of the 2 exposed screws. My car is in storage for the winter so I'll have to wait!! That's why I have not posted sooner.

Nice! Are you going to color-match it or are you going to coat it brushed aluminum to match the door handles?

Thumbs up It's Installed -- 56K No No (lotsa photos)

OK, I couldn't wait. I went ahead and bolted it on my nasty car!

Here are some photos...

First, the thing right out of the box:

Here's one (of two) little fittings that go on the car first:

Here are both of the fittings installed (it's close work, but hey, it's precision!!)

Screwin' it down:

Installed... and the remote opener works great (better than the OEM door!)

Highly recommended! Now, I'm going to figure out how to tone down the shine.

Wow! That look really nice & I like the fact that the remote opener works well. As mentioned above though, I'd probably color-match it or coat it to match the door handles so it has a more subtle look to it.

Can this be treated to match the door handles?? Perhaps an electrolytic or "chroming" type of process??
