Default vis or seibon carbon fiber hood

Buying a carbon fiber hood, but i dont know if I should go with seibon or vis. The seibon is 500 and the vis is 700. Which one should I get. I know the seibon is nice because ive seen it in person. The vis I have no idea. I'm just worried about cracking or fadeing because I was cheap too cough up the extra 200. Will I be happy if I go with the seibon oem?

it depends on which model hood you are purchasing from vis because overall most of their hoods are poor quality...

+1! I have the seibon and LOVE it! I have seen the vis and there is no comparison! The seibon is MUCH better quality. And $700 is TOO MUCH for a OEM style seibon. PM jeff@evolution he has better prices on them!!

I got seibon too...seibon VT. Fits perfectly...no modification required. But I heard its a hit or miss type of thing...so I guess I got lucky.

Yeah I have the Seibon and it was WAY off! I had to cut the latch on the hood and weld in anotherone to make it longer!

Do NOT buy VIS. You will regret buying it in the end. I wish I had pics of my old POS vis hood. One day washing the car I see a haze. Goes away with water no no biggie. Next week the hood looks like dry CF no clear left. Junk. I will be purchasing a seibon hood when I get around to it.

Ninja-Z : want to buy me the Top Secert hood??

How long ago did you purchase your hood though? I heard they fixed all of their fitment issues. Curious to see if this is true because I was ready to order as well.

Thanks
