Default Can you paint carbon fiber?

I want to get a CF hood and rear hatch but I'd want to be able to paint it to look stock.

The ones I've seen in Ebay are all "Grade-A, rolled edges, UV Gel coating, etc" can these be painted?

Crap I posted this to the wrong forum...

That is the most pointless mod for our cars. Our stock hatch weighs the same or less than CF hatch and if your going to paint of CF what is the point?

yes you can paint it. Just make sure the body shop strips ALL the clearcoat off. If not, the finished product will be very wavy as thats the natural shape of carbon hoods.

I just found out that only the dry CF products are lighter and offer any savings. Obviosuly I don't want to run that on my daily driver. Talk about fugly.

So, no CF for me.
