I'm planning on taking off my "350Z" badge but re-installing it on the opposite side to say "Z33" instead. I'm assuming you take of the old adhesive first & apply a new one correct? If so, what did you use? I know that a few of you have done this so I want to know the process & materials you guys used to get this done. TIA.

I tried it with 3M tape (use Exacto knife to cut) but it was too thick compared to the factory double sided tape that is on the emblems. I ended up buying a new set of emblems.

. I figured the 3M tape was a bit thick. So you ended up buying 2 new 350Z emblems? I was hoping to find a way to stick the old one I have so all I have to do is buy 1 new one. These emblems are not cheap at all, especially knowing I won't use most of it

There is also some type of "emblem glue". You can buy it at an autopart store--I bought some a couple of years back. The stuff was easy to use and stuck on very well. Don't remember the name off the top of my head, but it shouldn't be difficult to locate.

I dont THINK it messes up your paint (I used it for something else...). Just check the tube before you use it. I know is that it is VERY strong...I'll see if I can find the tube tomorrow.
Hey James,
just give the emblems to the body shop. they will (or they should have) have the adhesive(thin double sided foam tape) for emblems. or just take a long strip of the stuff from them and apply it at home.
i would strongly suggest NOT using glue.
