Default carbon fiber hoods in the sun/heat texas style!

I want to get a carbon creation CF hood but what kindof life expectancy do they have in the hot sun? I thought CF really degraded in the elements.....

Don't get it. They fade like no tomarrow. I had two Carbon Creations hoods and they both yellowed quickly front the heat. Carbon Creations do not use uv clear coated resins.

yeah carbon creations has that problem. frankly carbon creations products arent of particularly good quality. you can get a seibon hood for not that much more. itll hold up much better.

Default Vented Class A Carbon Fiber Hoods, available pretty soon

Hello, I know a place that will be selling soon really nice carbon fiber hoods for nissan 350z. They are class A carbon fiber, do not fade and quality and fitment and tested Meticulously!! The hoods are also strong. Yo can see the pics at autocrony website.
They are not selling the 350z hood yet but I saw the hood in person on a test fit and the car looks great.
Regards
Leonardo

are you going to paint it too? if you do then you don't have to worry about fading issue.

I have a Seibon in AZ and we have all you guys beat for sun/heat. The hood looks fine, no fading whatsoever. Over a year now, hood is in direct sunlight everyday at work.

Buy Seibon, and I believe Intense Motorsports is the cheapest.

Also, you will be amazed how much heat escapes from those vents.

ok so what about seibon. I read i need hood pins for seibon versus the stock latch for VIS. How do hoodpins work exactly? Dont they add to cracking/structural problems?
