They were around $75 off Ebay. I wanted them because they looked kool and they will prevent further wear on the driver's mat from the heel of your shoe.

I would definitely take the one off the passenger side. It looks really out of place on the passenger side. Driver's side looks fine, and this makes much more sense to me since that's the only side that you will really see wearing of the floor mat.

the one on the passenger side looks stupid.
Im not trying to be a d!ck, but whats the point of this on an auto Z? Would it really make the carpets wear less?

^----Agree with above.

Plate is not functional on passenger side. However I could use one myself on the drive side seeing as I have worn through my floormat and have started to wear through the carpet thanks to my heel and toe technique

I agree with all of the above. Personally, I would've invested the money into some Nismo floor mats instead. But to each his own.

you sure those mats cover the "heel-wear" area of you stock mats? For me, those momo's were just shy of the heel-wear area and so would have no functional purpose.

There was a fat hole in my driver's side floormat of my last auto car... so yes.

But all the passenger mats were fine, despite driving my friends and girlfriend around everywhere all the time.

I have those and decide to turn them 180 degrees around.

I think they fit into position better and cover more usable area. You'll see what I mean if you try it.

Yeah so instead of saying MOMO it looks like it says OWOW

they're not all that heavy, they prevent wear on the floor mats - mainly by the driver side, but it looks neat to have the passenger side match too. I've gotten quite a few compiments on them. They match the pedals dead on

Can you take pix? I interested in what you are referring to. I have already secured mine to the floor mat so I cant just reverse it to see.

I always thought the Nismo mats were exactly the same as the stock Z mats, just instead of the "Z" it said "Nismo" on the side. If so, it still wouldn't solve the problem of the wear on the driver's side..

But I could also be wrong--maybe the Nismo's are different than the stock mats?

I'll see if I can take a picture

the nismo mats have a rubber square area for where your feet go to reduce wear - and yeah it says Nismo instead of Z

I'd rather spend thirty bucks or so a year or however often your stock carpet mat wears down and just buy replacements, rather than have those to try to prevent wear.

If you like them, thats all that matters, but I do agree with the other guys that said take out the passenger one

why though? do passengers not have feet?

stock Z mats go for like $50-60
the nismo are like $60-70

these are $70-80 and you never have to replace your mats again

Is there more than one Nismo mat? I know a lot of people said that the Nismo mats are better, but they looks the same to me...it doesn't look like they have a rubber area on them:

Are you referring to the newer Z mats for the 2005s?

i haven't seen the new Z ones, I saw some floormats on the wall hanging up at the local dealer here that said nismo on them and had the rubber mat

Anyway IMO why have a rubber mat when you can have an aluminum one to match the accents in the car

That actually looks a LOT better (shapwise...). Just wish the "OWOW" wasn't there...

BTW, I think the Momo mats don't look all that bad. I actually contemplated getting these a while ago, but never got around to them. If your interior is CLEAN...it looks a whole lot better.
