Seat belt on Z...
Ok, is it me or do others feel the seat belt on the Z gets a tad to far up on your neck? I am 5'11" and it still hits me on the neck. I have that little adjuster set down all the way, but it always manages to click back up a notch and thus place the belt right near my neck again. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it's also dangerous. Anyone else have this issue, or might know of a fix?

Well it runs across my chest but the top left part, where it attaches to the body of the car, sits kinda high.

do you have your seat layed back or slid pretty far back? you could try and sit a little closer to the wheel...makes shifting a while lot easier too if you have manual
i had the same problem until my friend told me to move my seat up so that when i grab the shifter it makes a 90 degree angle and now the problem is gone...seatbelt sits square across my chest now.

The belt holder attached to the seat was added in 2004.5 based on customer complaints. It's only there to make the belt easier to reach and to keep the unused passenger side from clanking around. It does make me wonder if there might be a way to mod it to stiffen it up or lock it in position to help you out. I am about to go to lunch, I will look at mine and see if I can come up with anything.

A couple of things I thought about while in my car.
Did you try bringing the seat bottom up to get your torso up a little higher? If that seating position works for you, it could solve your problem, if not...
I looked at the belt fixture, the small arm for holding the belt is actually attached to the same bolt as the seatbelt loop and seams to be fixed to match the pivot of the belt loop. The belt loop is a little hard to move but as soon as you pull the belt out, it goes back to it's normal position. If you are mechanically inclined, you might be able to pop off the bolt cover on the belt loop and remove the bolt. Then modify the arm to set a bit lower when the loop is in it's default position. That is what I would do anyway.

Everybody is build differently, one person can have shorter legs and a longer torso than the next person and they can be the same hight. So while you are lucky this is not happening to you, it certainly could be happening to someone else.

Hey, thanks for the info. Im gonna see if there is any type of modification like that, that I can figure out. I just hate having the damn belt near/on my neck like that. However I dont want to take the belt off as thats not safe either.
Hope that helps,
I am all about modding the Z (and everything else I own) to make it fit me better, some of my more random mods are center console arm rest pad (made from a 2004.5 knee pad), air pump type lumbar support, more trunk lighting (white LEDs on the underside of the strut bar), rubber mat in the trunk area (to keep my servers from sliding around).
If you lived closer, I would come over and help you, it sounds like an interesting project.

I'm 5'7" and I have the same exact problem. I have the seat pretty far forward so that's not it.
I just end up putting the belt under my collar but I guess I could get one of those seat belt thingies:
