Unhappy Wiring Homelink Mirror?

I have the base model, however I'm attempting to add the homelink mirror.

The instructions provided arn't that great/accurate.

Does anyone have any better wiring instructions for a '05 Z?

Thanks!!!

It has a wiring harness that has to be tapped into two wires.

Ignition ON

and

Battery

and grounded.

Unfortunatly their wiring diagrams don't seem to be accurate. I think wire 7 and 35 are the two to tap... but I have no idea what wires those are...

The instructions say its a light green wire (for ignition) and a red/white wire for battery. And getting ground is easy enough...

The instructions are here...

http://www.courtesyparts.com/instruct/350Z-RVMIR_3.html

However... They don't looke like my '05

No luck?

I took it to Nissan, they were clueless.

Since I lack a volt meter, I'm going to have a local stereo shop track it down for me. Unless someone here can help out.

Actually, since it uses wire taps, I wonder if the "stock" homelink mirror is tapped in with taps?

Will someone with a homelink mirror open up their fuse box area and see?

Well I was getting tired of the wires...

So I payed to look at the 2005 manual.

The long and the short of it is this...

The BCS now has 3 connectors instead of 4.

M90 is the HUGE 40 pin sucker... pin 11 on the TOP is the new ACC/ON wire. pin 38 is the new ON or START wire. (Ignition)

M91 is the new connector with power, the connector is BLACK! pin 55 is not fused power? and pin 42 is fused power? I don't know exactly how to read it.

SO you want pin 11 or 38 depending if you want your mirror to turn on @ key ON or key ACC.

And you want pin 55 or 42 on the BLACK connector.

And grounding is simple.

Now to test it!!!

Okay I went with wire 42 because 55 was a larger gage wire.

It works, my car starts, all my lights etc work... excellent.

Just had to pay the 20 bucks for the manual to figure it out.

Those are the instructions that I had...

They do not apply to the '05.

The new short way of doing it is this... for an '05.

Is tapping 11 & 42...

Red/Black --> 11
Black --> 42
Ground --> Frame/etc
